My wife and I have always had a deep passion for animals, and being devoted pet parents has been a significant part of our lives. The loss of our cherished 7-year-old golden retriever to hemangioma sarcoma last year left us devastated. While we had experienced the heartbreak of losing beloved pets before, the pain of losing Trinny at such a tender age was profoundly heart-wrenching. Adding to our grief, our Puerto Rican street dog, Kate, whom we had adopted a year prior to Trinny’s passing, was Trinny’s closest companion. Losing her best friend had a profound impact on Kate, intensifying the depth of our sorrow.
Recognizing Kate’s longing for a new companion and driven by our desire to provide a loving home to another rescue dog, we began a search for our next furry family member. During our journey, we discovered AGaG, an organization whose mission deeply resonated with us. Without hesitation, we reached out to them, starting the adoption process. It wasn’t long before we received a call about Sydney, a former breeder dog who had endured a difficult life but was fortunate to find refuge in an incredible foster home with Carol McHugh. When we met Sydney, it was an instant connection filled with love and affection.
As Sydney entered our lives, an unbreakable bond formed between her and Kate, cementing them as best friends. Kate gracefully assumed the role of mentor, patiently guiding Sydney through the uncertainties and unfamiliarities she faced. Witnessing Sydney’s remarkable progress every day fills our hearts with immense love and anticipation for the remarkable transformation that lies ahead. We’re excited for Sydney to feel completely comfortable and live her best life, which we believe is just around the corner.

If interested please fill out our online adoption application form; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through. Please note that we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care and our bios are our current observations; we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history and as such breed and age estimates are an educated guess.
