Bio:
I can’t say for sure if the sculptor Auguste Rodin is my namesake, but if he is, I’ll take that as a compliment. I’m a mishmash of golden retriever and supposedly a poodle, but as you can tell from my photo, I lack a poodle’s curly coat. I look like a short golden, not a golden doodle. Foster mom thinks I may have a herding breed in my ancestry. I love to follow her around throughout the day and enjoy her attention or the attention of visitors. I do tend to get over-excited about things, so I will need a family willing to work on calming routines with me. I also bark quite a bit, so I’m not a good dog for apartment or condo living. And that’s something my new family will need to help me with too. I also get really excited when I see other dogs, so I will need help learning to behave appropriately with other dogs.
Aside from those quirks, foster mom says I’m a “really cute little guy. Rody is house-broken and well-behaved in the house. As long as he doesn’t get over-excited, he has no problem settling down. He enjoys wandering around the yard and sometimes gets the zoomies. He likes to chase the squirrels and sometimes the birds. Rody is a sweet, happy boy who wants to be near his person and soak up all the attention.”
I’m not sure how I’d be with kids and cats – probably excited! My adoption fee is $550.
