We contacted AGAG in late 2023 and after a really good application process we were thrilled to hear that we had a chance to adopt a dog. We went out to the foster home and met Maple. She’s a 5 year old breeder dog who had been relinquished by the breeder to AGAG. First off – we were and are amazed and grateful at all the work and love the foster home had done for Maple. She didn’t know at first how to live in a house with humans and she got used to people, dogs, and cats.
Maple is extremely gentle but when we brought her home she was – as we were advised – very stressed. Our resident Golden – a 5 year old male – was thrilled to have a sibling. A little too thrilled but Maple gently taught him some boundaries. Gradually she got to know her way around. She was terrified of walks – sensory overload! – but now when her vest and leash come out she sits expectantly and loves to go out. She still has some anxiety – especially during thunderstorms. But her real personality has come out – she’s spunky and playful and is so happy to have a family, a brother dog, continued good food, exercise, and safety. Everyone who meets her is impressed with her gentle demeanor and good looks! It has been so good for our family to welcome her – and it is rewarding to give a beautiful dog like this a new life. We’re so glad we found AGAG and appreciate what all the people who make this organization work do to make it a success.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:
If interested please fill out our online adoption application form; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through. Please note that we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care and our bios are our current observations; we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history and as such breed and age estimates are an educated guess.
