You know that Andrew Sisters’ tune about a down-and-out gal who hopes to change her luck by walking with a wiggle? Maybe they were singing about me! Because since being rescued from a breeding situation, I’ve been walking with a wiggle in my foster home. I am just so happy to be in a home where I’m loved for who I am. And foster mom says it shows in my sashaying walk. She says I’m easygoing, playful and affectionate, and those sound like good things to me.

I’ve spent the last several months learning to live in a house and have mastered that. I am still shy when I meet new people or confront new situations, but I’m gaining confidence. Could you be the one who helps me continue to blossom?

MEDICAL CONCERNS: Lyla came into AGaG with bladder stones, which were removed and biopsied and found to be benign. For the rest of her life, she will need to eat special food designed to be gentle on the urinary tract.

REQUIREMENTS: Fenced yard, resident dog and someone home most of the time.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
