Bio:
As a doodle named for a flower, it’s only fitting that I’ve learned to stop and smell the roses now that I’m officially in my golden years. Although, in the interest of full transparency, that really means stop and sniff the critter trails in my neighborhood – and perhaps pull my human along the scent cone. We’ll both be happy if you work on this with me, because I enjoy learning.
Prey drive aside, at home and in the yard, I am a chill (yes, you read that right!) doodle. I really like to be where my human is, so if you go into the yard and don’t take me with, I will protest. But if you leave the house to do human things, I will calmly await your return and happily greet you at the door with something in my mouth. And what’s more golden than that?
I love car rides and am an excellent passenger, so feel free to take me along to supervise you on your errands. I also am house-trained, comfortable in a restricted area and know several commands. My house manners are excellent and I will alert you with a bark when visitors come to the door. Just doing my due diligence as your early warning system.
I can be jealous around food – with other dogs and small humans – so I will thrive in a home where I am the only princess of any species. I have gotten along with other dogs when thoughtfully introduced in neutral territory (and no food). So, walks with friends’ dogs is a possibility – I do that with my foster mom. Fair warning: I like to be the leader of the pack.
Foster mom says I’m sweet, smart and a good companion. If you’re looking for a go-with-the-flow gal, then I’m golden girl for you. Let’s meet!
