Bio:

My story begins in a place of fear and uncertainty—but thanks to the kindness of strangers and the love of rescuers, I now have hope and a future full of promise.

I was found wandering the streets with five of my four-legged family members. We were scared, dirty, and clinging to each other— walking as one, too scared to let go. We didn’t know where we were going, only that we had to stay together. Then, a kind-hearted police officer noticed us. He gently gathered us up and brought us to safety at a local shelter.

But the shelter was already full. And we were in rough shape—our long coats were severely matted, covered in feces. That’s when As Good as Gold stepped in and gave me and my sister something we hoped for: a second chance.

After a warm bath and a much-needed haircut, I barely recognized myself—and more importantly, I felt better. Like maybe, just maybe, things were going to be okay.

Today, I’m living in a foster home with some sweet resident dogs who have become my new comfort. I stick close to them—they help me feel safe. I’m still learning how to trust people. I follow my foster mom around the house, curious and hopeful, but when she reaches out to pet me, I back away. It’s not that I don’t want love… I’m just not quite ready yet. At least, not unless it’s on my own terms.  But I’m making progress. At night, I’ve started snuggling next to her in bed. Sometimes I even paw at her, asking for gentle pets while she lies beside me. I’m learning what it feels like to be safe, to be cared for, to be loved.

Because I’m still so timid, I need a calm home—one with a fenced yard and another dog who can continue showing me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Little kids might be too overwhelming for me right now, so a peaceful environment would help me thrive.

Foster mom says I’m the sweetest boy with the gentlest soul. I just need someone patient—someone who understands that healing takes time. If you’re willing to wait and let me grow at my own pace, I promise I’ll be worth it. I’m ready to find my forever home… could it be with you?
