Are you looking for a sweet senior to be your companion?  I am almost 11 years old and I have spent my life creating lots of golden puppies.  Now that I am with As Good as Gold I have hit the retirement jackpot, I am learning what it’s like to have the golden life.  I enjoy running around my foster home’s fenced in yard and checking out all kinds of smells now that I have the freedom to be a normal dog.

When I first got to my foster home, I was nervous because I was not used to being in a house.  I chose my safe place in the laundry room and any time I felt uneasy, I was happy to retreat to my space to relax.  I have come so far in my foster home and am slowly building up my confidence.  I love collecting toys and bringing them to my safe place.

I love all people, kids and dogs and love any attention you will give me.  I may be a senior, but I certainly don’t act like one.  I have great energy and act like I am 5 years old.    I have learned to walk on a leash, and enjoy going with you for rides in the car, although I need a little boost to get in.

I will need a fenced in yard in my forever home since I am still getting used to so many new things.  It would be great to have another dog in my new home, but it’s not necessary.

I have beautiful, creamy locks of hair and a beautiful plume of a tail.  My gentle face and happy eyes will melt your heart.  I am ready to move right in!

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
