Bio:

Like my namesake in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, I enjoy the comfort and familiarity of a good home. And like Bilbo, I’m a little guy since I’m a mini-goldendoodle – though I admit I look more like a golden than a doodle. But life, as it does, threw me some curveballs and I am trying to make the best of them. My first owners relinquished me to a shelter, where my second family found me. Home I went with them, and I enjoyed the company of their other dogs immensely. However, the young children in the home (ages 2 and 4) made me anxious, so, as dogs do, I nipped at them to keep them away. That family realized I wasn’t a good fit for them and relinquished me to As Good as Gold, where I’ve been living the good life in a foster home.

My foster parents and I enjoy walks together, and I enjoy running zoomies in the house and following them wherever they go in the house. I can be sensitive when touched in certain areas, so I need a patient and understanding home that knows I may not like to be pet by my shoulders and belly.  I am more fond of women than men and sometimes want to “herd” and nip at pant legs of new male visitors.  Despite that, my foster parents say I’m a sweet, mostly low-key guy who is easy to live with and just wants someone to love.
