I arrived at As Good as Gold with my four littermates. All of our names begin with the same letter. I think that means we are an A+ group of pups! We are a wonderful mix of Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel. That combination suggests that we will be eager to please, gentle, loyal and intelligent in a mini Golden package.
I love to play with my soft plush toys and my fur foster brother Egan. We could wrestle and play chase all day. Balls are fun to run after, but I haven’t figured out what to do with the balls once I catch them. I also had a great time frolicking in the white stuff called snow and I’m getting pretty good at snow angels. Foster Mom is teaching me to walk on a leash. I am getting better at not pulling, but it is hard to walk politely when there are so many new things to see and smell. I am also working hard on potty training and now go outside willingly without having to be carried. I am very sweet, outgoing and have a strong personality. Occasionally if I feel unsure about something or someone I seek a safe spot to hide. However, I usually recover my indomitable spirit quickly. My name could also be Mr. Snuggles because I love to cuddle. I will snuggle with Foster Mom on her bed all night or with Egan any time or anywhere.
I need to join a family that has a dog who will be my companion and teach me acceptable dog behaviors. I will need someone home with me most of the day or arrange for a surrogate to play with me and let me out during the day. As with all youngsters, I need to go to school to learn how to be a well-mannered member of your pack. Obedience classes that we attend will help you bond with me and for me to make new fur friends. What could be more perfect?
