Bio:

I have this human friend, he’s a “senior” like me. I really like people, and John is definitely one of my favorites. He’s a neighbor of foster mom’s. I also really like my foster mom! She’s been so very kind to me since I came to As Good as Gold this past summer. She understands me and is accustomed to a senior golden. She kinda smiles when she sees I’m having a bossy senior moment. This happens when I give a little bark when I don’t think she’s getting dinner ready as quickly as I wish.

I don’t mind admitting that I have many good qualities. I also don’t mind listing them for you!

  • I’m housebroken
  • I don’t counter surf
  • I don’t pull on the leash
  • I know the commands sit, down, off, and come!
  • I get into the car readily and don’t mind car rides

Normally I don’t jump but do occasionally want to climb onto foster mom’s lap when she sits down. (I’m hoping for some closeness and lots of petting!)

Being a senior, I do have my aches and pains. I don’t stand for long periods of time ‘cause it kinda makes me hurt. I’ll walk for just a bit, but then decide it’s too much so roll over onto my back and look up at the sky! On occasion I’ve stumbled, the vet thinks it could be neuropathy, which oftentimes shows up in older dogs. I also have some arthritis in my elbow. I receive medication plus a joint supplement with my meals. Seems to help a bit.

“Terbie is just an incredibly sweet old golden who will make a wonderful companion for someone,” that’s what my foster mom said. See, she knows me! And I think she’s sweet too.
