What can we say about Sophie?  When we first saw her pictures, we thought how “proper” she looked, a grade A, first-rate purebred.  Then we met Sophie and realized she’s just the class clown and we loved it!  Her typical day isn’t complete without stopping on a walk at least twice to roll on her back on a stranger’s lawn, “stop, drop, and roll” has taken on a new meaning. We get a lot of looks and laughs!  She’s an expert in yoga poses and likely was the source of Thread the Needle since she spends most of her play time on her head.  After just over a year, we can’t imagine her not being a member of our pack, and we are grateful to As Good as Gold for bringing her into our lives.

 

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
