Bio:

Half Golden, Half Lab

My name is Rico and I’m 12-years-old. I’d really like to be in a permanent home with a family as my former family wasn’t able to keep me any longer.

I’m sure happy to be in a foster home right now though! Know what foster mom wrote about me? “Rico is always nice. He has never shown any ‘issues.’” She means behavioral issues, I think. I know the commands “sit, stay, down, come, leave it, and I’m housebroken! I’m happy in the car, and in my crate. I do stay in my crate when foster mom leaves the house.

Oh, and I have a furry foster brother! We play just a bit (we’re not pups anymore), then we like to lie together on a shared pillow and take a nap.

I enjoy being outdoors to roam in the yard and spend time lounging on the deck. I do fine on a leash. My 10-year-old foster sister can take me for a very short walk, but an injured shoulder keeps me from long walks as I have a limp.

Being with children, cats and dogs is fine with me! I had a great time with a 5-year-old boy—so fun!

If you’re looking for a handsome (well, check out that facial profile) companion to spend low-key time with, I could just be your guy!
