My name is Paco and I am about 6-7 years old. I came to As Good as Gold from Puerto Rico where I was found wandering the streets. Don’t let the little gray on my face fool you, I am full of life and fun loving. Everybody falls in love with me instantly! I am an incredibly loving dog and I get along with other dogs and seem to do fine with cats.
Foster mom is a trainer and has been working with me on protecting my special bones. I am learning how to trade my bones for treats and will need someone who knows what to do. I shouldn’t be given any rawhides, which is ok because they aren’t healthy for dogs anyway.
I’ve had some obedience training and walk well on a leash. I also came knowing how to shake and will give you my paw any time you ask me to. I will even give you my paw for attention, so foster mom is working on helping me to not be so demanding. I have learned sit and down, but it took me a bit to learn to lay down. I was a bit timid and laying down made me feel vulnerable, but I am doing it better now.
Another thing that my forever family needs to be aware of, I was very sensitive to having my collar touched. Foster mom has made me realize that it’s not so scary because she gives me lots of treats.
I am a very sweet and gentle guy that is calm around other dogs inside and out. I love going to daycare and playing, but not crazy like some of those other dogs. I ride great in the car and am ready to take a ride in your car to be your forever pet!
**Due to my issues with bones and collar grabbing, I should be in a home with mature kids.
