INTRODUCTION As told by Oscar
. . . and the 2024 Oscar for best, happiest, most loved sequel goes to. . .
The first feature film of my life’s story was a hit. I lived with a great family, surrounded by love, kids, other dogs – everything that a dog might want. But times change. My human siblings grew up and moved out, and my dad’s new job required traveling, so he could not keep me. Luckily, I was optioned to a new studio (aka AGaG) that is famous for telling “tails” with happy endings. So here I am, hoping that you might take on a starring role in Oscar’s Story – Part 2.
I am a larger-than-life leading man who has no idea how big I am. At 110 pounds, I am a little overweight, but not as much as you might think. The vet says I should probably be around 100 pounds. My foster mom, who declares I am her favorite foster dog of all time, says that when I lean in for some petting, I could knock somebody down. So maybe if you’re interested in auditioning for my sequel, you shouldn’t be too frail.
Along with an Arnold Schwarzenegger physique comes an Arnold Schwarzenegger appetite and thirst, and mom says I eat like I’ve never seen food before. She’s trying to cut back a bit on the amount of food I get and supplementing with green beans (like Arnold, I like my veggies). But all that food needs somewhere to go, and I have to go a lot. Mom gets me outside at least four times each day to take care of business, so it would be best if my new home has someone around to let me out throughout the day.
Mom also says I am super affectionate (Maybe we can make a rom-com?) and there is not an aggressive bone in my body. She has seen my canine foster brother (who is much smaller than I am) take a bone out of my mouth and I didn’t blink an eye. Four-year-old triplets who live across the street get so excited when they see me. They climb all over me and pull on anything they can grab, and I take it all in stride.
I am most content when my people are smiling. In fact, I’ll let you know how happy I am by howling! (Maybe a musical is in our future?) Mom says it can be a bit startling at first, but once you know I’m just singing my happy song, it’s funny and charming (good traits for a leading man, I’d say).
Every good story needs some dramatic tension, and mine is no different. About a year ago, I started experiencing seizures. Fortunately, my previous owner got me on medication. AGaG has followed up with doctors and my medications have been reduced a bit to no ill effect. I have not had a seizure since the change. In fact, I haven’t had a single seizure since I came to AGaG! But it’s still a concern and something you must know about me.
I’m looking to finish the script and fill out the cast for my next film. Interested?
