Bio:

Oscar is a sweetheart!

He loves to go for rides in the car.  When he sees me grab my purse, he takes the queue and is ready to go!

He also loves toys!!  He must take one with him when he’s going for a walk and to the yard when he goes out to do his duty. If he leaves the toy outside, I tell him to go get it, and back for it he goes.

Anything outside that he feels doesn’t belong, he lets me know. He’s on alert for squirrels, rabbits or even geese flying over the house.

Oscar greets everybody that comes to the door, “Pet me, Pet Me!” I don’t walk by him without giving him either a hug or a pet. And he truly loves belly rubs.

He is the best rescue!! Thank you, As Good as Gold, for a GREAT rescue!

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
