Did you know that adopting a senior can be very rewarding?  Seniors are great houseguests and companions.  I am so happy that As Good as Gold helped me.  I had really bad sores all over because I had something called Flea Dermatitis.  You would never know now!  My foster mom has given me so much TLC, that I am absolutely beautiful now and I feel great.  I am on a wonderful diet and do a silly dance when I am waiting for my dinner or treats.  I love to eat, but what golden doesn’t?

I am a total delight according to my foster mom.  She says that I make her smile all of the time.  I have good energy for a gal my age and I love playing fetch too.

I live with two other dogs in my foster home, but sometimes I am a little grumbly with them.  It might be better for me to live in a home where I have my humans all to myself.

So, if you are looking for a sweet dog to bring smiles to your face, I am that girl.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
