Mojito (Mo) is a 1-year-old male Golden Retriever/Maremma Sheepdog mix! He is a big goofy oaf that loves people, kids and other dogs. Since he has more Maremma Sheepdog traits he needs to be out in the country or on a farm. He will make a great watchdog!
Mo is very lovable and affectionate, but he does need a little work on his manners (like jumping up on people). He is still a puppy but just a big one at around 70 lbs.
Maremma’s are highly intelligent dogs and very devoted to their family. Maremma’s do best in homes where they can both work and join in family activities. He has been neutered and is up to date on all vaccinations.  He is good with other dogs but NOT with cats!  He would be fine with older kids because he might knock younger ones over in his excitement to play.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
