“A Diamond In The Rough” is how you would probably describe me. At thirty-five pounds, I am a gorgeous golden retriever in a petite body. I am definitely a mama’s boy and I love being where she is. I enjoy our long walks and runs along the rural paths near our home. I am a polite leash walker and even stay by foster mom’s side when I am off leash. There are two teenage boys at my foster home who keep me busy playing fetch and basketball, but it takes more than a few walks and ball playing to wear out this ever ready bunny! I am a little too spirited to live with a moppet and prefer interacting with the older variety of human children. My fur brother is a senior and isn’t interested in my overtures to play, which is implausible to me. I would prefer to have another dog in my forever home to share my exuberance and be a mentor to me. If there is any activity in the house, I am right there trying to be part of it! Besides playing ball games with my human siblings, I treasure the stuffed hippo I came into rescue with and enjoy chewing on a rope toy that I found when I arrived at my foster home.
I am a high energy teenager who has never had the benefit of obedience training and learning boundaries. Taking classes together will teach you to communicate with me to build a relationship of trust and respect and help me become a beloved member of your pack. Foster mom says I am a smart friendly little doll and finds my puppy kisses very endearing. I just need a little patient encouragement to smooth the rough edges. Let’s get to work!
