I came all the way from Puerto Rico; that’s over 2,000 miles! My owner had to give me up. It was sad, but I’m happy to be with As Good as Gold now, and I’m staying with a very nice family!

Taking walks has proved to be pleasurable since foster mom started using a Gentle Leader. The outdoors is thrilling! I like chasing critters, even though some fly away! A fenced-in yard would give me that opportunity, but animal watching during walks is satisfying too!

I’m on high alert and may bark when I see other dogs. I’m a bit afraid of some of them. Since I’m really into treats, my family would likely be able to work with me on this. Foster mom thinks it’s nice that I take treats gently from her hand.

Stuffies and an occasional Kong are fun! But so are socks and paper towels and Kleenex from the trash basket. (Foster mom’s not too keen on me getting into those things — oops!)

I readily respond when called and routinely offer my paw to gain folks’ attention. Sweet, affectionate, a tad fearful sometimes, but certainly not aggressive — that’s me. Sometimes I get a little sad when people leave and might whine a bit, but that’s been decreasing.

I came 2,000 miles to find a new forever home. Come meet me!
