From the minute we met Hanna we were instantly in love.  She was rescued from a puppy mill and came to AGaG with her puppies, so we knew she was going to need a lot of love.

Hanna was well behaved – she knew basic commands thanks to her foster mom. Hanna has been so patient with our senior Golden Matea. Hanna recognizes that her sister doesn’t have the same energy level and she is fine with that. Hanna won’t go out the door until she knows Matea is right behind her, waits for her while on walks, and even engages her in gentle wrestling.  Having Hanna has given Matea a little more pep to her step and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Now her “working” days are over and she can enjoy the leisurely life she deserves. AGaG could not have made a better match for our family!  We are so grateful that Hanna came into our lives! Thank you, thank you!

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment

Please note that we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care and our bios are our current observations; we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history and as such breed and age estimates are an educated guess.
