Bio:

Ready. Set. Go! That’s me when the day begins: I am ready to be by your side (foster mom sings “Me and My Shadow” as we move about the house) the moment you let me out of my crate. Whatever you’re doing, I’m happy to help! And if you’re sitting still, I will put my feet on your legs so I can give you kisses. I just want you to know how much I love you!

What else do I like to do? Well, fetch is a personal favorite. I adore that game, and when you get tired of it, I will keep it going on my own. I’ve figured out how to toss toys in the air and chase them. I do like soft toys, but I will chew them up and eat small pieces, so it’s better to offer me a Benebone when you’d like me to settle for a while. I also love to wrestle with my foster brother; he’s a great guy and tolerant – when I get worked up, I play rough and sometimes ignore his corrections, but he puts up with my silly antics.  When it’s time to settle down, I like to cuddle with him on a dog bed.

Foster mom says one of my most endearing habits is the way I cock my head when she whistles. Oh, and the way my tail is always wagging!

I do have a limp; my doctors believe I had some type of traumatic injury to my rear left knee and may need surgery in the future. As Good as Gold will pay for his surgery if it’s needed within a year of adoption. My exuberance lends itself to anxiety at times, so I’m on some medications to help calm me.

I am very curious about this big, wide world we live in and enjoy exploring it. Whaddya say? Are you up for exploring it with me?

Good with kids? Yes

Good with cats? Yes

Medical concerns: Finn had some kind of traumatic injury to his rear left knee, possibly a partial cruciate tear. He has a limp and should avoid doing activities that increase his lameness. There is a chance that he will fully tear the cruciate in the future and need surgery. Finn is also a bit anxious and has a hard time settling so he has started medications to help him.

Requirements: Needs someone home most of the day; positive reinforcement obedience training classes to learn manners.
