Hi, my name is Felix. I’m about four-months old and I’m hoping to find a family who will keep me forever!

Currently, I’m living with foster dad. Life’s been great here! Before that I lived life as a stray in Puerto Rico. A very nice lady rescued me, contacted As Good as Gold, and I ended up in this snowy land!  I am a mix, so it’s not known what my breed is, but I have the true golden personality.

I have so much to be happy about and apparently it shows! I absolutely love people, preferring attention, affection, and snuggling over being alone. Foster dad says I’m “not antisocial at all!”

He thinks I’m a fast learner too. I heard him say I’m 80 percent housebroken. I’m not quite sure what that means, but I know he seems pleased when I do my business outdoors. I’m very sleepy at bedtime; I don’t wake up to be let outside during night.

I enjoy playing with other dogs! Exploring the backyard is a blast, and chasing the leaves out there is a fun pastime!

Foster dad and I take walks together, and sometimes we play fetch with a tennis ball—that’s pretty cool!

I’ve adapted very well to this new environment. A permanent family to snuggle and play with would be my only wish.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
