“Daisy has brought so much joy into our lives,” says her mom, Darlene. She and her husband Craig brought Daisy home just three months ago.
They had decided their next pet would be a rescue in order to honor the memory of their beloved golden doodle, Molly, that they lost six years ago in a home gas explosion. Wanting a golden retriever, they reached out to As Good as Gold and waited for the right fit. During the wait they met a few, just missed a few, but then came Daisy—all the way from Turkey! “I fell in love with Daisy the moment I received her photo,” says Darlene. “We met and immediately bonded. I so admire As Good as Gold’s ability to match owners and dogs. The experience has been everything I could have asked for and more.”
After arriving at her new home, Daisy ran upstairs and down, scampered through the yard, turned to her mom and dad with a look that said, “This is all for me?” Darlene said Daisy fit right in, “like she’d been with us forever.”
Daisy enjoys her furry brother, Clyde. The siblings are thrilled with their frequent visits from Craig and Darlene’s grand-dog, Mae. “The three of them are great pals.”
Daisy enjoys her toys, three daily walks, belly rubs, and home-made meals! She’s also pampered with lavender oil massages.
Mom, dad, and people she meets appreciate Daisy’s tail wags and smiles. The little girls on the block fawn over her. “Daisy is the sweetest and most loving girl, and is easy to care for, says Darlene. She’s like a grown-up’s favorite, huggable stuffed animal. I love petting her; it’s so calming.”
