We brought Coco to our home Labor Day weekend and couldn’t be happier with this little girl!

In the beginning she was scared. She would hide in one of her chosen safe places, which were either under the kitchen table or under the outside deck.

She knows she’s in her forever home now, as she seems much more comfortable and confident. She wags her tail joyfully every morning and routinely follows us everywhere. She was even Little Miss Socialite while visiting with all the family at grandma’s house! (Treats contributed to bringing her out of her shell.)

Coco loves cuddles and treats. She’s gentle, smart, and funny, and is the boss as she shares the house with her 5-year-old golden retriever brother. They do some play bows, but she is not yet too keen on full-blown play.

We find the happy dance she performs after going potty quite funny to watch! And for some reason she thinks it’s fun to rip up paper. Allison found a stuffed animal that looks just like her—see the picture comparison!

Coco is a lovely, sweet, and gentle dog with an old soul. Our life with her is a great example of the way As Good as Gold helps improve people’s lives through pet adoption.
