Hi, my name is Charming and I fit my name very well.  I love everyone I meet.  I love to go on walks and be outside.  Running around in the yard is great fun.  I am an active boy outside and love to play catch with a tennis ball.  But, inside I am a mellow guy and love to just lay around.  The neighbor kids were so nice to me and gave me what is now my favorite toy.  It’s a rubber squeaky pig that makes the coolest noises, it oinks!  I love it!

A close second to running around the yard is going for car rides.  I love to just look out the window and take in all the scenery.  I like the adventure of going anywhere my foster parents want to go.  I even like to go on boat rides!  I love being petted, but what golden doesn’t?  If you stop petting me, I will let you know that I would like more attention.  I love being near you like a typical golden, and I am even a good snuggler.

I won’t be able to be in a home with other dogs or cats.  I want to be your only companion and not share any attention with other four-legged creatures.  If you are looking for an easy-going companion that will give you so much love in return for yours, then come and meet me and I can be your Prince Charming.

Adoption Process
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
