My name is Bentley and I am a real sweetheart and a very loving boy.  I have the true golden personality of needing to be near you at all times.  I am a champion snuggler and love a lot of attention.  If you let me, I would love to snuggle with you on the couch.  I might also sneak in bed with you while you are sleeping and wake up by you in the morning.

I get along great with other dogs and like to play with my foster sibling.  We go for walks every day and then I am happy and content and will enjoy a nice nap after my walk.  Sometimes I am excited and pull on the leash a little, so I still need a little work on learning not to pull.  I like to chase tennis balls, catch frisbees and I am a great companion in the car.  I am so happy when you get home and get very excited and can be jumpy and mouthy, so I am still learning that is something that I am not supposed to do.  Most times, I just can’t help it.  I am just so happy that you are home to be with me.

I have had something called petit mal seizures in the past, but I don’t need medicine for them.  My foster mom hasn’t seen me have any, so that’s good.  Sometimes they happen every couple of months.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:

  • Be at least 23 years of age

  • No children under 6 years of age living in your home

  • We primarily adopt goldens to families living within Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and the southern most counties of Wisconsin

  • If you do not own your residence or live in a condo, you will need a letter from your landlord or property management company

  • Provide excellent vet care for your dog(s)

  • Do not use an invisible fence

  • Are not over your town/county's pet limit

  • Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household

  • Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
