  • Happily Adopted

    Bio:

    Ben, Sam, and Charlie

I’d love to share the stories of our dogs.  When we lost our beloved golden Oliver, after 14 years, to cancer, we went on to adopt three dogs from As Good as Gold.  We are so happy that they have become a part of our family. The adoption process through As Good as Gold helped us to find the right fit for our family.

Ben was our first adoption in 2014.  He was found on the streets of Puerto Rico. At that point he was basically skin and bone with some fluffs of hair. And now here he is standing on our driveway with a fuller tummy and a big smile.

Then we adopted Sam in 2016.  Sam was a “puppy mill” dog and was on several psychotropic medications when we adopted him. He was quickly weaned from them.

Ben and Sam became brothers. (In the photo, Ben is sitting up and Sam is lying down.)

In 2020, right before COVID hit, we adopted Charlie. Charlie was also a “puppy mill” dog.  When we brought him home, he wouldn’t leave the kitchen. However, he gradually felt at home and has become my shadow. Fortunately, I work from home!

Finally, I’ve included a photo of our three boys napping in the afternoon. Bliss!
