Bear: Our Blessing Before the Pandemic
5-year-old male
We were blessed to adopt Bear two months before the pandemic. He has been a well-behaved companion as we transitioned from working in person to working from home. Bear has a 7-year-old rabbit-sibling, Charlie. They pretty much keep to themselves, but on occasion Charlie loves to scratch Bear’s back.
Bear has also been great with children. He is gentle with toddlers and playful with older kids. He welcomes them into our home with a wagging tail.
He loves to position himself on his back to get belly rubs when family members come to visit. He is well mannered as he puts his face on our laps and looks at us with his big brown eyes to pet him.
Bear loves to go for walks and chases squirrels that are in our backyard. He likes to roll on the grass or put his face in the snow during the winter. He has a unique way of expressing himself by yawning when we talk to him. He has a wiggle butt when it’s time to eat.
He loves to greet people along our hikes in the woods. He makes us laugh when he curiously sees things for the first time.
He is so funny! He enjoys watching dog videos on YouTube. He likes to stand on his two back legs to look over the window at moving objects or things that catch his interest. Does not bark unless there is a squirrel in the backyard.
