Bio:
“Put me in coach. I’m ready to play today.” Yep, “Centerfield” is my theme song. I live to play ball, well, fetch anyway! Foster mom says I have this endearing habit of appearing everywhere with a ball in my mouth – the yard, the kitchen, the bathroom – and if you don’t toss it, I’ll toss it for myself. And retrieve it, too! Doesn’t matter if it’s under furniture, in the sink or in the shower.
That’s right – I’ve got the whole retriever package going on!
What else do I like doing? That’s easy. Being with you – my person – is the best thing in the world. I can be by myself, but I really, really like being with you and following you everywhere when you’re home. Playing with other toys (for hard chewers) and bones, going for walks and learning these things called manners are also fun pastimes.
I am easily overstimulated, which is why I’ll do best in a home without young children. My foster parents are working with me on learning self-control and settling; things like Benebones and Nylabones help me settle and burn energy appropriately.
I get along with other dogs and enjoy playing with them, but should be supervised because, again, I sometimes get too excited – but not in an aggressive way. So, you may need to call me off to take a break and “Curb My Enthusiasm.”
If you’ve been scouting for an active, friendly, enthusiastic companion, I’m the guy. Let’s set up an interview!
