Bio:

Irene, 5-years old

When I look up at foster mom, she tells me I have “dreamy brown eyes.” Perhaps I get dreamy eyed because I really love people. Even young children are nice to be around. I enjoy the attention people give me, along with petting and scratches. In fact, if foster mom starts to pet my furry foster sibling, I squeeze my way in for my share! I seek cuddling opportunities throughout the day too!

I came to foster mom’s along with another foster golden. We feel more comfortable having each other around. I’ve agreed to play with some other dogs I’ve met recently. I’ll wrestle a bit and play chase in the yard. A canine pal in my forever home would work best for me, a mentor dog who will help me to feel more secure in this new phase of my life. Previously I lived a rather secluded life, mainly with only dogs.

This new world sure has some perks! Besides human friends, how about the great outdoors! Woah! Walks are spectacular, and I’m always ready to go! Mom thinks I’d just keep goin’ and goin’, but for some reason we always head back home. I also enjoyed the sparkly-cold white stuff, but where’d it go? I would dash through it and chomp on it. I hope it will show up again! For my safety, my forever home should include a fenced-in yard as sometimes when I get startled, I run. I do my business outside too. When foster mom sees I’m “antsy” she realizes it’s time.

Like I said, I’m not used to having lots of people around. I feel comfortable if it’s just a few people, but more than that and I’ll seek the solitude of my crate.

All in all, I’m a “sweetie” who might just make a wonderful addition to your family.
