Clifford Square

My family in Puerto Rico didn’t have time for me so the relinquished me to Love Puerto Rico Goldens.  As Good as Gold then offered to find me a forever home.  Although my first language is Spanish, I understand some English and non-verbal signals.  Since I am a youngster, I really need to exercise and I especially like walks to help burn off some of my youthful energy. I walk in the heal position on leash when wearing my harness. I love playing fetch and bring the ball back, but I’m not sure what to do with a Frisbee except chew it!

I like everyone I meet, but sometimes I get really excited and will jump up.  I call it a “hug”. Foster Mom and I are working on calm greetings.  I would like to play with every dog I meet, but I need some practice understanding doggie language and realizing when they have had enough interaction with me.   The kitty I live with interests me, but she doesn’t give me the time of day.

Foster Mom and I have been working on obedience commands and I have learned most of the basics.  I don’t need treat rewards because I prefer a head pat or a tummy scratch for a job well done.  I love my crate and of course I am completely house broken. City living is a little noisy and chaotic for my liking and I would prefer a home with quieter surroundings.  I wouldn’t mind being an only dog or sharing my life with a calm canine sibling who could tolerate some of my zealous teen age dog antics.

I’m adorable, a joy to be around and need a family to continue my training to help me become all I can be and love me for who I am.
