Golden Undergoes Brain Surgery  Nine year old Lulu came to AGaG as an owner relinquishment because they had a new baby. Although she had minor seizures, the medication that she was on seemed to be working.
Once Lulu joined the AGaG family, more to the story was realized. Lulu's seizures became increasingly worse, and her strange behavior. After a trip to the emergency vet, it was recommended that Lulu visit a canine neurologist. Lulu was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, and with the advice of our neurologist underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor. Lulu is recovering wonderfully from her surgery, and to date has not had any seizures. She is on a combination of medications that will be gradually decreased over time, but there should be no lasting effects from this procedure.
