In addition to helping goldens in need, your donation can also serve as a caring tribute in memory or honor of friends, family members or pets. An “in memory of” donation is a touching tribute to those you’ve loved who are no longer with us.  An “in honor of” donation is a wonderful way to honor the milestones, good deeds, and accomplishments of friends, family members, pets or work colleagues.

You may also mail your donation to As Good as Gold, P.O. Box 533, Wheeling, IL 60090. Donations of $25 or more will be recognized in Golden Tales, As Good as Gold’s quarterly newsletter. Donations of $10 or more sent by the U.S. Postal Service will be recognized with a personalized acknowledgment letter; online donors will receive an e-mail receipt for tax purposes. In addition, online donors will receive an e-mail with a photo of and story about a rescued golden helped by their gift. As Good as Gold is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extend allowed by law.

In 2014, more than $240,000 was spent for veterinary care, shelter fees, and canine supplies such as collars, leashes and food. And, in 2015, $251,000 is budgeted for program services including veterinary care, canine supplies, and public education. As Good as Gold relies on the generosity and support of the general public and receives no government or United Way funding.
