RAINBOW BRIDGE

4/24/12  Sadly, Waldo went to the Rainbow Bridge today.  He had stopped eating and was falling over, so it was time.  Waldo lived much longer than ever expected for a dog with this disease thanks to As Good as Gold and his wonderful Foster Mom.  He will be truly missed.  If you can help other Long Term Care dogs like Waldo, please click on Waldo's picture and donate.  Let them know your donation is in memory of Waldo.  He was a wonderful, sweet, teddy bear of a boy and others like him will be forever grateful.

July 2012 - Hi there, it's me Waldo.  I am still loving life in my foster home.  I have my good days and bad days, but I am happy to be well taken care of.  If you would like to donate to help me or other Long Term Care dogs like me, we would love you forever.  Just click on my picture and tell them I sent you, it's that easy.  Thanks!!

May 2012 - Foster mom told me that my body isn't working as well as it should, so I have my good days and my bad days.  She tells me that I am in the late stages of kidney disease.  I really don't know what that means, but it's great because I am really getting all sorts of great food that foster mom cooks for me.  She is taking such great care of me so I am going to stay with her.  Keep your paws crossed for me and if you want to make a donation to help me and other furry kids like me, I would love you forever.

My story:
Hey there, Waldo here and I want to tell you my story.  I was found as a stray and got to stay with some really nice people in their office at the police department until As Good as Gold came and got me.  They took me to the vet and found out that I had Lyme's Disease which has caused my kidneys to not work so well.  I was pretty weak and frail but they nursed me back to feeling better.  I took some medicine to make the Lyme's Disease go away, but my kidneys will need a little help for the rest of my life.

I am now at a great foster home and boy does foster mom take good care of me.  Every day I need to get fluids because of my kidneys, so I go and lay on my dog bed and get a needle poked into my skin for about 10 minutes.  I lay so still and love the attention.  I am such a good boy.

No one knows my history, but whatever I have been through doesn't matter anymore.  I am so happy to be in a warm and loving home with someone taking care of me and giving me attention.  Foster mom says I am so sweet.  Do you have it in your heart to take on a sweet and easy senior who loves to eat, take naps and soak up attention?  It's really easy to give me my fluids, I am so good.  I will reward you with lots of love.
