LONG TERM CARE

January 2013:  I thought it was time to give you all an update on how I've been doing.  I actually have some other things wrong with me than in my original story.  Foster mom says that I don't hear very well, and the vet thinks I might be older than what everyone thought too.  Also, I was having some issues with breathing, so I have been diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis.  I am not exactly sure what that is, but I can't do much exercise or I get out of breath.  My legs also don't want to work like the should all of the time, so I really don't go for many walks.  I am still just as sweet as can be and love to be your companion.  Because of all of my health issues, I will join the Long Term Care Program for As Good as Gold which means I won't leave my foster home.  I am so happy here and getting lots of love and great care.  If you would like to donate to As Good as Gold to help me or other Long Term Care dogs like me, please click on my picture and tell them I sent you.  I would be forever grateful.

My Story:

I don't look like a golden, but I have the perfect golden personality.  Foster mom says that I am the most perfect dog she has ever seen.  Words that foster mom uses to describe me are incredible, calm, affectionate and sweet.  I am the easiest dog to take care of.  I don't play with toys but I am happy to just cuddle next to you.  I love everybody and I even love cats!  Isn't that amazing?  We actually sleep next to each other.  I am a well behaved girl and don't have any of the young dog behaviors.  I do not hear very well, in fact foster mom thinks not at all, and I have also had a couple of seizures, but that doesn't change how sweet I am.  I am a seasoned veteran and a great dog all around.  All I want to do is please you.  So if the perfect dog is what you are looking for, then I am your girl.  Foster mom says that my forever family will be so lucky and happy to have me.  But I think I will be lucky to have a family to call my very own.
